Magnolia is a serene suburban neighborhood renowned for its remarkable sprawling real estate that is mostly sited on oversized city lots. This area features stunning vistas and has an abundance of parks and neighborhood amenities, making it one of the most desirable places to reside in the city. Magnolia is enveloped by Elliot Bay to the west, Salmon Bay to the east, and Puget Sound to the north, which sets up for stunning water views from nearly every area of the hillside community. Within this neighborhood lies a true Seattle treasure, Discovery Park. Spanning an impressive 534 acres, this park serves as a playground for locals and visitors alike, featuring a 2.8-mile loop trail that is particularly beloved by Seattle's trail runners. As the largest park in Seattle, Discovery Park never feels overcrowded due to its expansive size and it’s a fan favorite for picnicking, beach combing and watching wildlife.
In contrast, Queen Anne is an urban hillside community made up of condos, apartments, townhomes, boutique housing and mansions sited on typically more compact lots. Known for its charming tree-lined streets, expansive views and its close proximity to Downtown Seattle, Queen Anne is informally bisected into two neighborhoods: Upper Queen Anne and Lower Queen Anne. Each has its own personality, with Lower Queen Anne catering to arts, entertainment and stacked housing while Upper Queen Anne focuses a little more on leisure, award-winning restaurants and a mix of housing typologies.
